The Awentsbury Hotel is a family run traditional Victorian Country House built in 1882 and is set within beautiful & peaceful surroundings. We are five minute walk from Birmingham University and only 2.5 miles from Birmingham City Centre. Situated close to the Bristol Road (A38) the Awentsbury Hotel is within a short walking distance of excellent bus and rail links.
Ideally located for attractions within Birmingham and the surrounding areas, the hotel is a short distance from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Cadbury World, the Jewellery Quarter, Barber Institute of fine arts, the Sealife Centre, the National Indoor Arena (NIA), International Convention Centre (ICC), Birmingham City University and a short drive to the National Exhibition Centre (NEC). We have an ample car park on site if you are visiting us by car.
We offer a traditional cooked English breakfast as well as a selection of cereals and yoghurts. We also cater for funeral tea's and christenings as well as a small 50 person capacity function room for private hire (Please see the private events tab above)
We are just a short walk from Selly Oak where there is a large selection of restaraunts and bars to meet your tastes, varying from Indian, Bangladeshi, Italian, American, Chinese and of course English
Some of the countrys finest music venues are only a ten minute drive away, these include the O2 Academy, The HMV institue, The Rainbow Venues, Gatecrasher, Air (Home of club night Godskitchen) and many more.
